Casa di Giulietta (The House of Juliet)

Romeo and Juliet, the famous tragedy written by Shakespeare. When I was in high school, I remember reading and studying the play in my English class. We went to Verona to see the Romeo and Juliet location, but sadly it was open. I did not get to see the famous balcony where Juliet says “oh Romeo oh Romeo where for art thou Romeo!” So we only observed from the gates.

Verona is the location where Shakespeare wrote the fiction Romeo and Juliet. But the House of Juliet is made up. The legend was so powerful that they decided to make an area to resemble Romeo and Juliet. The architecture and furniture are authentic of the era, but do not belong to Juliet. Here I was believing everything I read back in high school was real!
